Let’s make a beautiful Mira mask from KPop Demon Hunters, all from paper! We make Mira’s signature mask together with her bold pink hairstyle and two long ponytails, using simple things you probably already have at home: paper, glue, scissors and a printer.

It is a fun make for fans of Mira and HUNTR/X, for cosplay, a costume party, Halloween, a birthday or a themed event. Pair it with a pink outfit, or with Mira’s paper Gokdo, for the full look.

PART 1 OF 2

The mask

  1. 1

    Print the template

Print page 1 with Mira’s face on one side only. Print pages 2 and 3 with the ponytails, then put each sheet back in the printer and print page 4, the plain pink page, on the back.

  2. 2

Cut out the mask and the eyes

Cut out the mask along the black outline. Then cut out the two white eye holes.

  3. 3

    Snip the white triangles

There are three small white triangles in the hair: one at the top and one on each side. Cut along one line of each triangle, up to its tip.

  4. 4

    Glue the triangles down

Put glue on a white triangle and slide the cut edge of the hair over it, so the white is hidden. Do the same with all three. Now the mask bends and fits around the face.

  5. 5

    Add the front strands

Cut out the two long thin strands from pages 2 and 3. Glue one to each side of the face, along the edge of the hair, so they hang down past the chin.

PART 2 OF 2

The ponytails

  1. 6

    Cut out the ponytail pieces

Each ponytail is made of two pieces: one with the hair tie and a small tab, and one with a light pink end. Cut out all four pieces along the black outline. Leave the small tab on.

  2. 7

    Join the two pieces

Put glue on the light pink part of the second piece. Lay the first piece over it, so the light pink is hidden and the ponytail looks like one long, wide piece of hair.

  3. 8

    Make the second ponytail

Join the other two pieces the same way. Now we have two ponytails, each with a small tab at the top.

  4. 9

Cut the slits in the hair

On the top of the mask there are two short black lines, one on each side. Cut along both lines. This is where the ponytails go in.

  5. 10

    Attach the ponytails

Put a little glue on the tab of one ponytail and push the tab into a slit, from the front to the back.

Pushing the ponytail tab into the slit in the hair

Turn the mask over and press the tab flat onto the white back. Do the same with the second ponytail on the other side.

    Shape the hair

Gently bend the ponytails and the front strands so they hang nicely around the face.

TWO LITTLE TIPS

Make it easier.

  • Use a glue stick, not liquid glue. Liquid glue makes thin paper wavy.
  • Hold each glued part for a few seconds. Especially the triangles and the tabs, so they stay in place.
